I subscribe to journals that I find interesting to read -- whether they're of people I don't know who post interesting things, or are of fleshspace friends who I want to keep up with. If I subscribe to your journal, don't feel obligated to reciprocate; I fully understand that interest may not be symmetric. Likewise, if you decide to subscribe to my journal, don't expect me to automatically reciprocate. I feel it's more honest to only subscribe to journals I actually read, rather than to reciprocate as an empty courtesy and shunt someone off into a separate list of journals I don't read.
 Be aware that I'm an opinionated SOB, and I have a pretty liberal view of what is acceptable in an open posting. The picture to the left is an example of something I consider appropriate to post openly on my Journal without putting it behind an LJ-Cut. Specifically, there are no naughty bits showing, and there is no certainty as to what they're doing -- for all we know, the guy in the back is wearing pants and was just giving the other guy a back rub. It's definitely a suggestive photo, but it's absolutely not "porn" in my view. I've been asked if I'm the guy in the back in this photo; thanks for the compliment, but neither person in that photo is me. If I had my druthers, I'd be the guy bent over in front...!
When I post my erotic fiction, I do always put it behind a cut, both because of the content and because they create very LONG postings. [grin]
I should point out - the fastest way to get banned from commenting in my journal is if, on the odd occasion I post something with comments turned off, you decide to comment about the no-comments post on another of my posts. This is incredibly, mind warpingly RUDE! I may - or may not - give ONE warning about this. If I make a post no-comments, that means no comments, got it?
